Joshua's 30th Birthday Weekend. November 20, 2010

Josh finally caught up to me this year, he is now a very young 30 year old! We got to visit with the family Friday evening for dinner and a small birthday celebration. Sheila made a fantastic dinner as always and a delicious birth cake. Dan gave Josh is gun, which he has had since he was a young boy, he loved it! Saturday was his official birthday so we shot his shot gun I bought him years ago and he got to go fishing on the base. We had a late dinner at Ruth's Chris, downtown Jax. It was a great weekend for this and he absolutely loved it. Happy Birthday Josh, we all love you!

Caleb's First Birthday; Late Post

July 22, 2010 was Caleb's very first birthday! We have the next door neighbors over and Josh opened gifts but had to go to work. It was a crazy crazy mess but worth it. Here are some pics of the fun day.

Matthew baseball and Caleb gymnastics

Today was a great day for Matthew at baseball and at school. We joined him for a Thanksgiving lunch in the cafeteria today, it was really yummy for cafeteria food. Baseball must have been the highlight of his week though. He had a game in Normandy. We were originally not going to go since it was wet and a toddler in the rain and mud, is not fun. However, the coach gives out balls to the most valuable player in that game and Matthew mentioned he has not received one and really want to try for it. So, we packed up and went. Little did we know he would hit the ball so hard it landed him the valuable player and he received his game ball from his team.
When we returned home Caleb fussy as ever because he was over tired, flipped backward and landed on his stomach on the floor next to his changing table. This was a complete flip, I was so scared and of course he was too. This reminds me...the little bugger woke me up this morning at 0515 in the middle of his floor screaming because he climbed out of his bed and didn't know what to do. End of Summer Beginning Fall 2010

It has been so busy around this house since school started for both Matthew and I, and Caleb turned one. He "finally" took his first steps just yesterday. While everyone marvels at how their child walks early, I sit back and think that in 5 years, will I really care if he walked at 12 month or 16 months, the answer is definitely "no"! So, he is now walking/crawling everywhere and into everything, what else should I expect right! He is always into Matthew's toys and even more so his books. He seems to really enjoy Toy Story 3 the movie and has been growling like a dinosaur a lot. Animals seem to be his favorite, especially dogs (poor Chuck Chuck:) Matthew is doing fantastic in school, he amazes me how well he spells and how fast he gets his math work completed. He is also playing baseball for the first time. He has played tee-ball for 2 seasons but decided it was time to take the tee, away! He is pretty good and works hard at practicing even when he doesn't have too. Lately, he has been riding a scooter rather than his bike, I picked it up at a resale shop super cheap and he can't get enough! We had a fun Halloween this year. We walked around with the Flores family again, that is always fun! I still think we should stop treating for candy and start giving change in piggy banks! I guess we are just lucky enough to have the freedom to go trick or treating. Here is our pics. I have sooo many more but it seems this site is very slow at uploading.

Caleb's last month as a baby June 2010

Caleb is now 11 months old. One more month and he is one year old, a toddler. I can't believe how fast my last little baby has grown. I will miss so many things but can't wait for the fun times ahead. He had tried sweets, he eats table food and he is standing with support. He wears shoes when we go out more and he has his own toy basket. The crib had to be lowered and he is almost ready to clear the crib of his baby items. I'm so thrilled for this little guy, he was such a miracle baby. He is always in Matthew's shadow and always happy to see Chuck Chuck.

June 2010

Matthew turned the big 7 this month. He had a few friends over to play and finally got the Wii he has been waiting for. I can not believe 7 years ago my beautiful brown haired brown eyed boy was born. Sicily Italy so far away from family and friends my life changed forever. He is such a sweet boy. Its a happy feeling that he is healthy and happy but sad because each year is a year that he moves farther and farther away from me. Whelp, I love you "little Mr". Love Momma

May 2010 Vacation

More adventures for the Spencer family! We decided to go visit the Kingsley Plantation and we went on a family vacation to Jekyll Island Georgia! It was fantastic. Josh caught several sharks, I got to run alone on the beach and Matthew had a blast in the pool and the beach. Our villa was perfect with the amazing sea views. Here are a few pictures to share. Our villa was two stories on the sea, it was beautiful. The last night we fell asleep to the sound of the ocean. We are all looking forward to our families next adventure!
